Background:

Tara Jiminez has worked in the mental health field for 14 years. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The University of Houston Downtown in 2005. Tara then went on to receive a Master of Art degree in Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She continues to pursue her career in counseling in Georgia as a fully licensed professional counselor (LPC #8472).

While in San Antonio, Tara compassionately worked on an Assertive Community Treatment team for adults aged 18-65 diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder. When Tara moved to Georgia she began working with children, adolescents and their families, effectively treating and managing their struggles of behavioral issues, depression and anxiety. Which included focus in foster care, adoption, and blended family adjustments from time to time. Due to life circumstances, Tara continued her work as a counselor through online text and live video therapy sessions. During this time she has worked primarily with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, parenting concerns, grief, and life transitions.
